What happens after we have joined the UK Wood Marking Programme?
ISPM – 15 - Assessment Monitoring Visit...
Every SIX MONTHS following your initial successful audit, our Assessor will:
- Re-visit your site, and meet your Designated Person to review the points outlined below, and assist with any relevant matters that may have arisen since your introduction to ISPM-15.
- Review the site's ISPM-15 compliance procedures to ensure that contact information, production processes, standards and mandatory regulations are up to date and are operating correctly.
- Check that client's Stencils, Stamps and Branders conform to latest layout specification, and are in good clean working order in order to produce a clear, legible finished mark on all export Wood Packaging Material. Request replacement of any defective, or out-dated items.
- Review previous 6 months incoming purchases and sales records, relating to the movement of all HT 56/30 timber on client's site. External sales of export compliant ISPM 15 Wood Packaging Material (WPM) must also be validated through client specific manual and / or digital records.
- Inspect stock of HT 56/30 timber on site to ensure clear identification of source and to validate paper trail including HT 56/30 Kiln source validation. Check for clear identification of client's Individual Stamp Number on export pallets, cases etc.
Please Note - ALL HT 56/30 treated raw material timber stocks and export products MUST be segregated from any untreated products on site.
- Review records of total HT 56/30 timber purchases , and consumption during previous 6 month period.
- Inspect clients HT 56/30 Heat Treatment Facility's (where applicable) for properly maintained temperature probes, to review 'Site Specific Kiln Operational Procedures' and to ensure all data logging equipment is functioning consistently and correctly. Probe and data logging systems MUST be calibrated and examined on a rolling annual basis by a UKAS – (The United Kingdom Accreditation Service) approved supplier.
Please Note - each probe must be correctly sealed into the timber stack and / or specific raw material timber block (size TBC per client specification & needs), with each timber probe block being renewed for each kiln charge run.
- Upon completion of a successful Monitoring Visit, our Assessor will recommend authorisation of the Client's Site to continue operating within the ISPM-15 Scheme's guidelines.
